Synopsis:

The ABC comedy series Ugly Betty revolves around the female protagonist Betty Suarez who, despite her lack of style, lands a job at a prestigious fashion magazine. For its season premiere episode in 2009, the show filmed scenes at UN Headquarters for the “Nothing but Nets” campaign, an initiative of the UN Foundation in the global fight against malaria. In an effort to bring more substance to the fictional fashion magazine where she works, Betty stages a fashion shoot at the UN showcasing models wearing fashionable forms of mosquito netting as the means of drawing more attention to the campaign. The episode was watched by 5 million viewers.
