Gebze – The selection process for successful applicants under the International Design Education (IDE) scholarship programme, an initiative jointly organized by the UN Technology Bank for the Least Developed Countries, World Eco-Design Conference (WEDC), and the International School of Design at Zhejiang University (ZJU-ISD), Ningbo to support students from least developed countries (LDCs) has been completed.

Enhancing STI has become increasingly important as a driver of productivity growth in the era of enhanced digitization. LDCs must be put in a position to close the digital divide and overcome inequities in access to and productive use of digital technologies, otherwise they will be left behind.

UN Technology Bank, the TUBITAK and the USIMP partner to facilitate access to technology for least developed countries

Ankara – UN Technology Bank today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) to support the international efforts to facilitate access to technology and to improve the science, technology, and innovation (STI) capacity development for the least developed countries (LDCs). University and Industry Collaborations Centre Platform (USIMP) will also be a signatory to the MoU.

Moscow – Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Roscongress Foundation, the RC-Investments Fund, and the United Nations Technology Bank for Least Developed Countries held a series of meetings in Moscow. In attendance were also representatives of the Russian Investment Agency, which assisted in organizing the gathering. The meetings discussed opportunities for joint cooperation during international congress and exhibition events both in Russia and abroad.
