Registration for French Research4Life MOOC on accessing professional resources of health, agriculture, environment, innovation or global justice is open

The UN Technology Bank and Research4Life are excited to collaborate in providing online training activities for the 46 least developed countries to enhance access to recent scientific knowledge, and thus give them the opportunity to participate fully in the global scientific community.  

Fully funded by the UN Technology Bank, the fourth edition of the Research4Life Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) will take place from October 31 to December 5, 2021.

Participants will learn all about the use of Research4Life and its five programs: Hinari, AGORA, OARE, ARDI and GOALI. Users can register before October 22 to participate in our free five-week course.

  • Immerse yourself in the landscape of science communication

  • Find out about scholarly literature and how you can use it

  • Get advice on finding relevant resources for your discipline

  • Understand how to disseminate your search results

  • Learn how to successfully market your library within your institution and region

The course aims to equip users with the skills to get the most out of their access to Research4Life. It also includes training for librarians and information specialists to help them promote Research4Life in their institution.

Topics covered in the course include the science communication landscape , information literacy skills, and advocacy and capacity development strategies. The course also provides information on using the Research4Life unified content portal and discipline-specific collections (Hinari, AGORA, OARE, ARDI and GOALI).

The MOOC consists of a series of lessons, with several quizzes and a final exam. In addition, there are live webinars and group discussions. After completing the course, participants will receive a certificate of attendance or completion.
