New partnership supporting industrial design in least developed countries
The UN Technology Bank for Least Developed Countries is pleased to announce its partnership with the World Eco-Design Conference (WEDC) which will support and enhance industrial design capacity and competitiveness in the world’s least developed countries.
Industrial design offers great potential for least developed countries as a driver of innovation, problem solving and economic growth.
Under this partnership, an initial group of participants from five least developed countries will be supported to undertake training on industrial design and also participate at the Third World Eco-Design Conference in China scheduled for December 2020.
The WEDC is an industrial, academic and world-wide non-profit social organization, which aims to promote the integration and sustainable development of design, ecology and society on a global scale, by strengthening exchanges and cooperation on ecological design among countries and regions.
