It was the first in a series of seven webinars on climate action. The webinars in this series aim to advance knowledge and further dialogue around Climate Action, in the lead up to and beyond COP 23, that will take place in November in Germany.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif;font-size: small\">Titled\u00a0Paris Agreement and the SDGs: One Agenda for a Sustainable Future, this first webinar featured\u00a0Amina Mohammed,\u00a0UN Deputy Secretary-General and\u00a0Nick Nuttall, Spokesperson for the\u00a0UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. The discussion was moderated by\u00a0Simona Costanzo-Sow\u00a0of the UNSSC\u00a0Knowledge Centre for Sustainable Development. The webinar which received over 500 registrations from more than 100 countries within a matter of hours, discussed the importance of approaching efforts to achieve the sustainable development goals and the targets of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change in an integrated manner. It emphasized that although the 2030 Agenda and the Paris Agreement were negotiated separately, they are all implemented together at country level.\u00a0\u201cClimate action and sustainable development are two sides of the same coin.
