The conference brought together philanthropy pioneers in China with experts from around the world to foster an exchange of ideas and best practices to inspire a new generation of Chinese to make a positive social impact on the world.<\/p>\n<p>In his opening address, Mr.\u00a0Ma stressed that \u201cIt\u2019s not enough to have good will; we also need the talent, the planning and the execution to make a sustainable impact in China and in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Also in attendance was Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, who in his keynote speech called not only the government but also the private sector and civil society to take part in achieving the United Nation&#8217;s sustainable development goal by 2030.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are the first generation that can end global poverty and at the same time we are the last generation that can reverse climate change.
