It is the lungs of the planet, and home to over a million species. More than three billion people depend on it for their livelihoods. But the ocean is under threat from climate change, pollution and overfishing.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The <\/span>2025 UN Ocean Conference taking place in Nice, France<\/span><\/b>, <\/span>from<\/span><\/b> 9 to 13 June<\/span><\/b>, <\/span>co-hosted by France and Costa Rica, aims to catalyze urgent action to conserve and sustainably use the ocean, seas and marine resources.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The Conference will bring together Member States, specialized agencies, civil society and the private sector to mobilize action.
