Milestone Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action Launched

The global fashion sector on Monday (10 Dec) significantly increased momentum to address climate change by launching the Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action. Under the auspices of UN Climate Change, leading fashion brands, retailers, supplier organizations, and others, including a major shipping company, have agreed to collectively address the climate impact of the fashion sector across its entire value chain.

Op-Ed The time is now to realise Mandela’s vision – and SDG’s provide the plan

On 2 December, together in South Africa for the Global Citizen Mandela 100 Festival commemorating 100 years since Nelson Mandela's birth, SDG Advocate Co-Chairs Prime Minister Solberg and President Akufo-Addo co-authored an op-ed for South African newspapers to highlight the connection between Mandela's legacy and the SDGs. The op-ed was also published in other outlets around the continent, including in Egypt and Ethiopia, among others.
