Special Envoy for Syria de Mistura has held consultations in Cairo and today had substantive and useful discussions with President Al Sisi of Egypt. The Special Envoy underscored the important contribution that Egypt can make in support of the UN-facilitated political process on Syria. The Special Envoy returns to Geneva tomorrow.
