The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Lyonchoen Tshering Tobgay, Prime Minister of Bhutan. 

The Secretary-General appreciated Bhutan’s contribution to peace operations. 

The Secretary-General commended Bhutan’s leadership in advocating Gross National Happiness and implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. They exchanged views on climate change and regional development.
