The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia.

The Secretary-General appreciated Malaysia’s active role in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) towards addressing the Myanmar crisis and the plight of the Rohingya population.

They also discussed efforts to further strengthen cooperation between Malaysia and the United Nations and exchanged views on global and regional issues, including the situation in the Middle East.
