The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Julius Maada Bio, President of the Republic of Sierra Leone.

They discussed the development challenges that Sierra Leone is facing. They also exchanged views on the President’s efforts regarding a number of development issues, especially nutrition and girls’ education.

The Secretary-General also told the President that he would go on pushing for reforms of the international financial architecture for the benefit of developing countries, submerged with debt and lack of liquidity.
