The Secretary-General spoke by telephone today with H.E. Mr. Gitanas Nausėda, President of the Republic of Lithuania.
 
They discussed various ongoing initiatives to bring an end to the war in Ukraine and the importance of an immediate cessation of hostilities. The Secretary-General briefed on the humanitarian situation and the United Nations’ efforts to scale up operations to support Ukrainians impacted by the war.
