The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Mr. Michael R. Pompeo, Secretary of State of the United States. The Secretary-General expressed appreciation for the continued engagement of the United States in the United Nations. The Secretary-General and Secretary Pompeo discussed a range of situations around the world, including Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen, the Sahel and the questions related to the implementation of the host country agreement.
