The Secretary-General met with President Salva Kiir Mayardit, President of the Republic of South Sudan on the margins of the African Union Summit.
 
The Secretary-General stressed the need for continued implementation of the Revitalized Agreement to Resolve the Conflict in South Sudan (R-ARCSS).
 
The Secretary-General assured of the full support of the United Nations to all efforts to bring long term peace and stability to South Sudan.
