The Secretary-General met today with the Prime Minister and Minister for Reform of the Republic of Cabo Verde, H.E. Mr. José Ulisses Correia e Silva. The Secretary-General and the Prime Minister discussed socio-economic developments in Cabo Verde, as well as the exemplary partnership between the United Nations and the country. The Secretary-General reiterated the UN’s commitment to support the country’s efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, including through facilitating its access to the Green Climate Fund and Financing for Development for Small Island Developing States.
