The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Turkey.
 
The Secretary-General and Mr. Erdoğan discussed expectations from and preparations for the September Climate Action Summit, particularly in view of Turkey’s lead role, together with Kenya, on the track for Infrastructure, Cities and Local Government.
 
They also discussed key peace, security and humanitarian challenges in the region, including Syria and Libya.
