The Secretary-General congratulated President Tshisekedi on his inauguration as Head of State of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He welcomed the President’s readiness to work in collaboration with the United Nations to address the challenges facing the DRC. The Secretary-General and the President exchanged views on the priorities for the partnership between the Government of the DRC and the United Nations, in particular MONUSCO.​

Le Secrétaire général a félicité le Président Tshisekedi pour son accession à la magistrature suprême de la République démocratique du Congo (RDC). Il a salué la volonté du Président de travailler en collaboration avec les Nations Unies, afin de relever les défis auxquels la RDC fait face. Le Secrétaire général et le Président ont échangé sur les priorités pour le partenariat entre le gouvernement de la RDC et les Nations Unies, notamment la MONUSCO.
