The Secretary-General met today with the President of Tunisia, H.E. Mr. Béjil Caïd Essebsi. The Secretary-General congratulated Tunisia for progress made in strengthening its democratic institutions. The Secretary-General and President Essebsi discussed the situation in Libya and the importance of united international community support for the implementation of the UN Action Plan for Libya.

Le Secrétaire général a rencontré aujourd’hui le Président de la Tunisie, S.E.M Béjil Caïd Essebsi. Le Secrétaire général a félicité la Tunisie pour les progrès accomplis dans le renforcement de ses institutions démocratiques. Le Secrétaire général et le Président Essebsi ont échangé sur la situation en Libye et l’importance d’une d’approche concertée de la communauté internationale dans la mise en œuvre du Plan d’action des Nations Unies pour la Libye.
