The Secretary-General met yesterday with Mr. Fernando Núñez Fábrega, Foreign Minister of Panama.

They discussed Panama’s economic development, the implications of the expansion of the Panama Canal, and various security issues on the UN agenda.

The Secretary-General thanked the Government of Panama for its support to the UN Regional Hub and the Regional Logistics Centre for Humanitarian Assistance under construction in Panama.
