Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with H.E. Mr. Bronislaw Komorowski, President of the Republic of Poland, on the margins of the 67th United Nations General Assembly

The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Bronislaw  Komorowski, President of the Republic of Poland.   

They discussed the need to advance consensus on the post-2015 UN Development Agenda and sustainable development, including follow-up to Rio+20, while taking into account the European debt crisis and the current world economic situation.
The Secretary-General sought Poland’s support in a number of key areas of international concern including global education, health and nutrition and food security.

The President and the Secretary-General also exchanged views on the situation in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.
