The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Rosen Plevneliev, President of the Republic of Bulgaria.

They discussed the worrying humanitarian situation in Syria and exchanged views on the prospects for greater regional cooperation in the Balkans.

They also discussed the situation importance of truly sustainable economic growth, increased energy efficiency, and the follow-up to Rio+20.
