SG: As you know, we have been asking for a renewal of cross border [aid], as it is essential for the people of Idlib. It is a matter of life and death for many of them.  We asked for a renewal of one year. The Security Council approved six months. But I strongly hope that after the six months it will be renewed.

Q: Mr. Secretary-General, the grain talks, there appears to be movement – a meeting tomorrow of the four parties...what can you tell us?

SG: We are working hard, indeed, but there is still a way to go.  Many people are talking about it; we would prefer to try to do it.
