The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Mr. Yun Byung-se, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea.
The Secretary-General expressed appreciation for the Republic of Korea’s dynamic contribution to the United Nations, as well as to its strong commitment to sustainable development, climate change, peacebuilding and sustaining peace. He particularly welcomed the Republic of Korea’s contribution announced during the High-Level Leaders’ Meeting on Refugees.
The Secretary-General and the Foreign Minister also exchanged views over the rising tensions on the Korean Peninsula.
