Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with H.E. Mr. Yousef Bin Al-Alawi Bin Abdulla, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman

The Secretary-General met yesterday with H.E. Mr. Yousef Bin Al-Alawi Bin Abdulla, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman.

The Secretary-General and Mr. Abdulla expressed satisfaction with recent positive developments in the region, including the Security Council resolution on Syria and new opportunities for engagement with Iran. The Secretary-General noted the united commitment of world leaders to the Millennium Development Goals and thanked Oman for its continued generous support to the United Nations.
