Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with H.E. Mr. Enrique Castillo, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship of Costa Rica

The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Enrique Castillo of Costa Rica today.  They discussed a wide range of subjects including the threat of organized crime and drug trafficking in Central America, and development cooperation with middle-income countries.

The Secretary-General commended Costa Rica’s support for an ambitious and action-oriented outcome of the recent United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, Rio+20.  He also praised Costa Rica’s constructive engagement with regards to the Conference on the Arms Trade Treaty.
