Readout of the Secretary-General's meeting with H.E. Mr. Tuiloma Neroni Slade, Secretary-General of the Pacific Islands Forum (PIF)

The Secretary-General met today with the Secretary-General of the Pacific Islands Forum, H.E. Mr. Tuiloma Neroni Slade. The main topic of discussion was the strengthening of cooperation and coordination between the United Nations and the Forum in support of regional development. The two Secretaries-General also discussed climate change, including access to adaptation funding, and exchanged views on regional issues such as Fiji and Bougainville.
