Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with the Member States of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM)

The Secretary-General met with Ministers and representatives of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Member States today in New York.

He discussed with them the post-2015 development agenda and the implementation of the outcome document of the International Conference on Small Island Developing States held earlier this month.

The Secretary-General commended the active contribution of the CARICOM Member States to issues that are prominent on the UN agenda, in particular climate change and financing for development.
