Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with H.E. Mr. Jens Stoltenberg, Prime Minister of Norway

The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Mr. Jens Stoltenberg, the Prime Minister of Norway. 

During the meeting, they discussed efforts underway to end the tragic conflict in Syria and the importance of a political resolution. 

The Secretary-General thanked the Prime Minister for Norway’s generous contributions in assisting Syrian refugees, its positive role in the peace process in Colombia, as well as in addressing global health issues.  They also discussed efforts for the implementation of the Millennium Development Goals, and progress achieved so far in combating climate change.
