Readout of Secretary-General's meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of
New Zealand

The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Mr. Murray McCully, Minister of

Foreign Affairs of New Zealand, on the margins of the Pacific islands Forum

summit.

He expressed his appreciation for New Zealand's active role in and support

for the work of the United Nations.

The Secretary-General and the Minister exchanged views on regional issues,

including the Middle East and North Africa, Sri Lanka, Fiji and the Forum.
