Save the date: 16 November 2017 – second open meeting with Global Research Network (GRN) partners

The UN Security Council Counter-Terrorism Committee (CTC)

will be holding its second open meeting with Global Research Network (GRN) partners on

the latest trends in terrorism and counter-terrorism

at the United Nations Headquarters, New York,

on 16 November 2017, at 3.00 p.m., in Conference room 4.


The open meeting, which will include a panel of experts from leading think tanks and academic institutions of the GRN, will allow the Committee, CTED, and the research community to analyse and discuss related emerging issues, trends, and developments. The meeting and subsequent discussions will identify, highlight, and build on research gaps with a view to pinpointing priority areas of work with respect to the implementation of relevant Security Council counter-terrorism resolutions, particularly focusing on resolutions 2129 (2013), 2178 (2014), and 2354 (2017).
