Open briefing of the Counter-Terrorism Committee on #CTEDTechnicalGuide

Earlier this year, the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Committee (CTC) submitted to the Security Council an updated version of the Technical Guide, an important tool to help Member States implement key Security Council resolutions on terrorism. Prepared by the Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate (CTED), the Technical Guide is intended as a reference for States.

On 21 December, the Committee will hold an open briefing to inform Member States about the updated version of the Technical Guide and help promote it as a practical reference tool. Taking place at United Nations headquarters on Thursday 21 December 2017 in the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Chamber from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the briefing is open to Member and Observer States, members of the media including photographers with valid accreditation, United Nations staff and interns, UN entities, intergovernmental organizations, and specialized agencies, as well as invited guests with a valid UN grounds pass. The event will be webcast at

For those not holding a UN grounds pass, please RSVP before 15 December 2017 at noon at
