Briefing by the Permanent Mission of Qatar and CTED on “Perspectives of the Global Research Network and the Forum on returning foreign terrorist fighters in advance of the review of the #MadridGuidingPrinciples”: 4 December at 4:00pm

Ahead of the Counter-Terrorism Committee review of the principles on foreign terrorist fighters (FTFs), its Executive Directorate (CTED) together with the Permanent Mission of Qatar to the United Nations will organize a briefing related to this review. “Perspectives of CTED’s Global Research Network (GRN) and the Forum on returning FTFs in advance of the review of the #MadridGuidingPrinciples” will take place at the United Nations in New York on 4 December 2018. Held in Conference Room 11 from 4:00 to 6:00pm, the briefing is open to Member and Observer States, members of the media including photographers with valid accreditation, United Nations staff and interns, UN entities, intergovernmental organizations, and specialized agencies, as well as invited guests with a valid UN grounds pass.

Featured speakers include H.E. Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Said Al-Thani, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Qatar to the United Nations, and David Scharia, Chief of Branch, CTED. The briefing will also feature the screening of a clip from ISIS tomorrow. The lost souls of Mosul.
