The Counter-Terrorism Committee, through its Executive Directorate, will explore further ways to deepen and strengthen its contacts with the relevant international, regional and sub-regional organizations and bodies, as well as and bodies of the United Nations system. These ways may include but are not limited to entering into special arrangements with those organizations and bodies, with a view to facilitating the exchange of information with them.

The Security Council, in the statement of its President of 17 December 2002 (S/PRST/2002/38) requested the CTC to deepen its contacts with international, regional and sub-regional organisations, with the aim of improving the flow of information on experiences, standards and best practice on counter-terrorism.
