The Human Rights and Alliance of Civilizations Room, formerly Room XX, is one of the largest conference rooms (754 seats) in the Palace of Nations. It was completely renovated as part of a Spanish donation to the United Nations. The main feature is a ceiling sculpture by Miquel Barceló. It was inaugurated on November 18th, 2008 by the United Nations Secretary-General and the King and Queen of Spain. The Human Rights Council frequently meets at this location.
