Biographical Note


New Permanent Representative of Central African Republic Presents Credentials

The new Permanent Representative of the Central African Republic to the United Nations, Kpongo Ambroisine, presented her credentials to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon today.


She was Delegate Minister of Foreign Affairs from January 2009 to April 2011, having previously served as General Director for Political Affairs from July 2000 to January 2009.


Ms. Ambroisine became First Counsellor to the Permanent Mission of the Central African Republic to the United Nations in New York in August 1996.  Prior to that, she was Director of International Organizations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 1991 to 1996 and Head of Service of the Ministry’s United Nations Section.


She has a diploma in political science and international relations from the Free University of Brussels in Belgium.


She was born in November 1951.
