Fourth Committee Elects Bureau for Sixty-seventh General Assembly Session

 

The General Assembly’s Fourth Committee (Special Political and Decolonization) today elected Noel Nelson Messone ( Gabon) as Chair for its sixty-seventh session.

Elected by acclamation, Mr. Messone has been the Permanent Representative of Gabon to the United Nations since February 2011.  Prior to that appointment, he was Ambassador to Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg and the European Union, while serving also as a Senator.

Also elected by acclamation were Maratee Nalita Andamo (Thailand), Ayesha Borland (Belize) and Dimitrios Felopoulos (Greece) as Vice-Chairs, and Zulfi Ismaili (The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia) as Rapporteur.
