Fourth Committee Completes Bureau for Sixty-sixth General Assembly Session

 


The Fourth Committee (Special Political and Decolonization) met this morning to fill vacant positions on its Bureau for the upcoming sixty-sixth session of the General Assembly.


It elected the following Vice-Chairs by acclamation:  Mansor Ciss ( Senegal), from the Group of African States; María Waleska Vivas Mendoza ( Venezuela), from the Group of Latin American and Caribbean States; and Jim Kelly ( Ireland), from the Group of Western European and Other States.  Elected as Rapporteur was Hasan Abulhasan ( Kuwait), from the Group of Asian States.


The Fourth Committee will meet again on a date to be announced.
