Third Committee Completes Bureau for Sixty-Sixth General Assembly Session

 

The Third Committee (Social, Humanitarian and Cultural) met this morning to fill vacant positions on its Bureau for the upcoming sixty-sixth session of the General Assembly.

It elected the following Vice-Chairs by acclamation:  Carolina Popovici ( Republic of Moldova), from the Group of Eastern European States; Donnette Critchlow ( Guyana), from the Group of Latin American and Caribbean States; and Luca Zelioli ( Italy), from the Group of Western European and Other States.  Kadra Ahmed Hassan ( Djibouti), from the Group of African States, was elected as Rapporteur. 

The Third Committee will meet again at 10 a.m. on Monday, 3 October.
