SECURITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE CONCERNING SUDAN ADOPTS

GUIDELINES FOR CONDUCT OF WORK

The Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 1591 (2005) concerning the Sudan adopted, on 23 March 2006, guidelines for the conduct of its work.  Among other things, the guidelines will facilitate the implementation of the measures imposed by subparagraphs 3(d) and 3(e) of resolution 1591 (2005), in accordance with subparagraph 3(a)(iii) of the same resolution.

The guidelines will be transmitted to all States for their information and use, as necessary, and will be posted on the Committee’s webpage:  http://www.un.org/Docs/sc/committees/SudanTemplate.htm.
