Mr. James Kariuki, Charg\u00e9 d\u2019Affaires of the Permanent Mission of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the United Nations in his capacity as\u00a0the\u00a0incoming President of the United Nations Security Council for the month of February on 23 January 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The President of the General Assembly and the incoming President of the Security Council discussed the programme of work for the United Kingdom\u2019s Presidency of the United Nations Security Council, which will commence on 1 February 2026, including international peace and security developments.
