Readout of the President of the General Assembly’s meeting with H.E. Mr. José Manuel Albares Bueno, Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of the Kingdom of Spain

The President of the General Assembly, H.E. Ms. Annalena Baerbock, met with H.E. Mr. José Manuel Albares Bueno, Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of the Kingdom of Spain, on 25 September 2025.

They discussed UN80 reforms and the selection of the next Secretary-General. The President commended Spain’s commitment to multilateralism and the United Nations.
