Distinguished guests,<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Ladies and gentlemen,<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

As we come to the close of this crucial High-level meeting, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to each of you for your invaluable contributions and dedication to addressing one of the defining challenges of our time\u2014AMR<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This meeting has underscored the urgency of the task before us and the need for coordinated, inclusive, and equitable action.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Our discussions have made it clear: AMR is not merely a health issue\u2014it threatens food security, economic stability, and global development, with devastating impacts, especially on the most vulnerable.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The multistakeholder panels provided an engaging discussion among stakeholders from various sectors, highlighting the multifaceted nature of AMR.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Panel 1 reflected on the issues of equity and access, as well as innovative and cost-effective measures that can be implemented, particularly in developing countries. Panelists also highlighted the importance of education and awareness as fundamental to catalyzing the need for a change in behavior at all levels.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Panel 2 included discussions on improving surveillance and stewardship, as well as capacity-building and coordination across sectors to adequately prevent and address AMR.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Panelists also highlighted the need for sustainable resources and measures to address the lack of new medicines in Research and Development.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The commitments we have made here today reaffirm our collective resolve to protect our future.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I commend all delegations for their bold commitments and concrete actions.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We must now take the momentum from this meeting into the broader global stage, ensuring that our efforts extend beyond words and declarations into lasting, measurable outcomes.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Our ability to turn commitments into results will define our success in addressing the issue of AMR.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Together, we have laid a solid foundation. But let this be only the beginning.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I am confident that with sustained political will, shared responsibility, and international cooperation, we will rise to this challenge and build a safer, healthier future for everyone, everywhere.<\/p>\n
