Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with Ms Mami Mizutori, the Special Representative of the Secretary General for Disaster Risk Reduction.<\/p>\n<p data-ogsc=\"rgb(33, 33, 33)\">\n<p data-ogsc=\"rgb(33, 33, 33)\">The Special Representative of the Secretary General presented a copy of the Global Assessment Report 2022, under the theme \u201cOur World at\u00a0<span data-ogsc=\"black\">Risk: Transforming Governance for a Resilient Future\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-ogsc=\"rgb(33, 33, 33)\"><span data-ogsc=\"black\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-ogsc=\"rgb(33, 33, 33)\"><span data-ogsc=\"black\">The President congratulated the Special Representative and UN<\/span><span data-ogsc=\"black\">DRR on the report, and underscored the importance of science, understanding human approaches to risk and the holistic approaches to risk management \u2013 which are the main findings of the report.<\/span><span data-ogsc=\"black\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-ogsc=\"rgb(33, 33, 33)\"><span data-ogsc=\"black\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-ogsc=\"rgb(33, 33, 33)\"><span data-ogsc=\"black\">The President and the Special Representative also discussed the upcoming Global Platform on Disaster Risk Reduction Meeting to be held in Bali in May.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-ogsc=\"rgb(33, 33, 33)\">\n<p data-ogsc=\"rgb(33, 33, 33)\">The meeting took place in the President\u2019s office at United Nations Headquarters in New York.<\/p>\n<p data-ogsc=\"rgb(33, 33, 33)\">\n<p data-ogsc=\"rgb(33, 33, 33)\">26 April 2022<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E.
