Isabel Avomo Sima is an Adviser in the Human Rights & Humanitarian Team in the Office of the President of the 76th session of the General Assembly.

Isabel has over 8-years of experience in the Foreign Service. Prior to her deployment to the Office of the President of the General Assembly, she served at the Permanent Mission of Equatorial Guinea as Second Secretary working as an Election Officer, liaised the Francophonie and was the Third Committee Focal Point.

From 2018-2019, Isabel was an expert during Equatorial Guinea’s tenure in the Non-Permanent Seat of the Security Council covering the Security Council Committee pursuant to resolution 2127 (2013) concerning the Central African Republic and the United and United Nations Security Council Resolution 2231 on Iran Nuclear Issue.

Isabel speaks fluent Spanish, French and English and holds a Bachelor of Science with a concentration in International Business at American University in Washington D.C. and Bachelor of Arts in a concentration in International Studies at York University, Canada.
