Readout of the meeting between the President of the General Assembly and the United Nations High-Commissioner for Human Rights

The President of the 76^th Session of the General Assembly H.E. Abdulla Shahid met today with Ms. Michelle Bachelet, High-Commissioner for Human Rights. 

The President of the General Assembly briefed the High-Commissioner on the progress achieved implementing the priorities of his Presidency of Hope, in particular in relation to gender equality, youth and civil society participation, as well the cooperation between the Office of the President and OHCHR. 

Both sides exchanged views on issues related to human rights, gender equality and women empowerment, human rights and climate change and the follow-up process on the implementation of Our Common Agenda report. 

The meeting took place at the United Nations Headquarters in Geneva.
