The President of the 76th Session of the General Assembly, His Excellency Abdulla Shahid was granted an audience with His Majesty Carl XVI Gustav, King of Sweden and Her Royal Highness Victoria, Crown Princess of Sweden.
The meeting took place during the ongoing Stockholm+50 International Meeting in Sweden. Booth leaders agreed that the inaugural Stockholm Conference held in 1972, was a milestone event in galvanizing and mainstreaming global environmental activism.
The leaders also discussed the importance of conservation efforts, and on the current challenges confronting our planet, while also emphasizing the urgency of accelerating global efforts to protect the earth.
