The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today, H.E Mr. V. Muraleedharan, the Minister of State for External Affairs of India.
The Minister of State reaffirmed the support of the Government of India to the Presidency of Hope. He commended the President’s leadership and initiatives taken during his Presidency of Hope. He further reaffirmed India’s strong support to rule-based multilateralism.
The President thanked the Minister of State for his participation at the IMRF. He also thanked India for the continued support to his Presidency and the Office.
The President and the Minister of State also discussed other issues including food security as a result of the Ukraine crisis, regional issues, and the reform of the Security Council.
The meeting took place in the office of the President of General Assembly, at the United Nations Headquarters.
