Meeting between the President of the General Assembly and H.E. Amina Priscille Longoh ,  Minister of women and the protection of early childhood of Chad

The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with the Minister of women and the protection of early childhood of Chad H.E. Amina Priscille Longoh .

Minister Langoh expressed the support of Chad to the Presidency of Hope and the priorities identified by President Shahid for the 76th session. She also highlighted the challenges women encounter in her country.

The President commended the Minister on the work she is doing in the advancement of Chadian women and underlined his priority of integrating the gender dimension across UNGA processes during the 76th session.

Both sides also discussed other relevant topics, such as multilateralism, youth, COVID rercovery and the evolving political situation in Chad.

The meeting took place in the President’s office at United Nations Headquarters in New York.
