The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs, H.E Aymen Tawfeeq Al-Moayed.
The discussions centered on Bahrain’s initiatives to empower youth through a multi-faceted approach aimed at making them feel safe and secure within their communities; and pursue efforts for a bright future.
H.E Aymen Tawfeeq Al-Moayed emphasized that Bahrain’s approach involved provisioning adequate financial resources for development of the youth and bringing to public attention youth role models, who perform well academically and professionally.
President Shahid expressed his admiration for Bahrain’s focus on the youth and noted that this directly aligns with one of his priorities for the Presidency of Hope. The President also briefed the Minister about his youth-related initiatives including the Presidency of HOPE Youth Fellowship.
The meeting took place at the Ritz Carlton, Manama.
